Default EWIS Training for B1 & B2 CRS

Does anyone know when EWIS training for target groups 1 & 2 [B2 and B1 certifying staff] becomes mandatory prior issue or renewal of company approvals?

The date of January 2012 has been mentioned but I cannot find any reference to any cut-off dates.

Does anyone know of any on-line courses for EWIS for target groups 1 & 2?

From what i heard it starts to be mandatory next year but if its prior to issue or renewal of company approvals i dont know. And from what i understood for B1 the only group mandatory will be group 4.

Swiss aviation training has the course on-line. For group 3 to 5 you can check Etechs they might be less expensive there.

According to the LRTT EWIS fact sheet, EWIS B1.1 [no limitations] are target 1 group.

    B1 with limitation 1 & 9 are target 4 group.

I just saw the fact sheet. The description n as per ED/2008/007/ says one thing the LRTT interpertation says another. Who's right?

The LRTT interpertation its very different from the description of the ED.

I already did group 4 because when i bought the FTS and Human Factors at Etechs they were offering 50% off the EWIS course if you were taking one of the above so i decided to take advantage of that.

The LRTT EWIS fact sheet are quoting "as agreed with UK CAA".

    I'm aware of that.

Now what its making me confuse is why would a ED from EASA mentions that the group 1 & 2 its for avionics skilled workers or technicians cat B2 and inspectors / technicians cat B2 and in the group 4 it mentions inspectors/technicians cat A or B1 and the LRTT and the UK CAA decides a different thing.

If it was here, it wouldnt be a suprise for me sense our CAA simply doesnt work.
