    Default Do exam passes 'expire?'

    Hello

I finished all my modules within the 5 years allowed; however, the last one was done in 2008.

At the time there was no limit to how long the passes would remain valid (as long as the last exam was passed within 5 years of the first) although there was talk of changing the rules.

Does anyone know if this actually happened, or are my passes still safe?

I've been working in IFE for 8 years now, but I've just about managed to scrape together enough relevant experience to submit a B1 application...

    Thanks.

Personally I think one resit should be the limit and to be taken fairly quickly after first attempt and that resit should be allowed only if close to passing the first time. Endless retakes are like the group of monkeys who eventually produce a Shakespeare sonnet How long the pass lasts I guess should be governed by the depth of changes to airleg in that area.

    See 1149/2011, all it that

I'd get the student to read it that way they might understand the reg & air leg better

Any exams deemed valid on 1st August 2012 will remain valid to 31st July 2022. So exams passed prior to 31st July 2007 are outside the previous 5 year life and must be retaken.
