    Default Continuation Training

I've just got off the phone with an agency - they have asked for recurrent continuation type training?
I was under the impression that continuation training was the usual Human Factors, FTS and EWIS courses, can anyone shed some light on this requirement as it appears that we should now refresh our types every two years along with HF etc?

Has anyone else encountered this requirement?

Surely approvals, logbook and recency letter should be enough to prove I'm current on types?

We've been here before, continuation does not just cover being current on A/c type

I know continuation training covers HF/FTS/EWIS/MOE and any AD's or SB's - but still dont understand why continuation training on types specifically is required?

Sounds a bit over kill. Just possibly the operator has A/c on short term lease not having some local requirements installed, or A/c which have been on a foreign registrar with mods not usually found on local A/c.

Just thank yourself you are not in Norway, they specify 2 hours type training in a simulator per year.

    This is a client requirement.

Good on the Norwegians. Glad someone has their priorities right.

BA used to mandate simulator sessions every two years for engine running authorisation plus currency of at least one engine run per type on your licence every six months.

    Too expensive I suppose.
