is today the start of politicians who absolutely respect the vote, voting not to leave by means of no to the deal and no to no deal?

see socialists this morning being clear on their position this morning. Do whatever is necessary to try and get into power. But just don't mention policy, integrity, listening to people, respecting the outcome of the vote.

I will be clear.................no deal just get out of it now

So stick your matelot ring up your hoop loser. Your tory ERG mongs have burned their toast. Brexit was theirs tonight and thy blew it. No deal will be dead tomorrow. the realists will call Ref truth later. The young will come out next time and put the grey haired two world wars and a world cup back into the 20th century where they belong. And the UK will kick the spoungers both EU and Uk out of the system. As it should have done 10 years ago. You do read shite articles BTW. And you are t0$$3r.

BBC News; Wednesday 13 March 2019
MPs vote to reject no-deal Brexit

MPs have voted to reject leaving the EU without a withdrawal agreement.

Theresa May said there was a "clear majority" against a no-deal Brexit but the "legal default" was that the UK would leave without a deal on 29 March if no deal is reached.

MPs will now get a vote on delaying Brexit, said the prime minister.

That vote will take place on Thursday, and if it is passed - and the EU agrees to it - the UK will not leave the EU as planned on 29 March.

There could be a short extension - or a much longer one - depending on whether MPs backed her withdrawal deal "in the coming days", said the prime minister.

NS Comment: Just need to ride through the uncertainties. But, as Mrs May says: "MPs need to face up to the consequences of their decisions".

After last night's debacle in Parliament it appears that the PM is going to try and put her deal to Parliament for a vote for a 3rd time next week. So why is it OK for MP's to get asked the same question 3 times until she gets the result she wants, but not OK for the general voting population to get asked "the question" again? Sounds/looks hypocritical to me.

And despite what some people may think....I've been a bit split on a 2nd referendum, but now I think there should be one based on above and the Government and Parliament are just playing political games with the issue now. I would say have a General Election, but would it solve anything?

Not likely, Tom. The MPs have shown that they hate her plan passionately.

If they vote for an extension today and the EU-27 agrees, the floor will be thrown open for more options to be considered by the MPs. Let's hope they can find a common ground.

it would if the meek and totally incompetent socialist party would actually stand for what it believes in..................remain.

Well it does appear that the PM is going for a 3rd attempt to get her exit deal through - https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-47579033 . So going back to my original question - why do MPs get asked a question 3 times and it is deemed OK, but the voting populace are not being asked the original question even a second time.

This is just a big game of politics now to those on both sides who are supposedly charged with the job of managing the country.
