Default EASA or FAA in middle east and Asia

Which countries in middle east and asia have adopted the EASA part 66 license or the FAA A&P license for as their own national aviation authority program. Why did they made that choice and what advantages they got from it.

This interactive map will show all member states for EASA.

Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia recognise Part-66 licences often these are issued by the UK CAA. Usually there are requirements to sit a local exam on aircraft legislation.

what I meant is if these countries local authority uses the same exam modules and trainning like EASA or FAA and why they choose EASA instead of the FAA model

Not mentioning the ME country I had the job of establishing conditions for engineering cover and certification and exposition as part of an air operators licence. It was a nightmare as the local Airworthiness part of the government were half hearted working the ANO overseas terrorises conditions. There was no local requirements/conditions. When queried the guy in charge of airworthiness stated the government would endorse what was the best between CAA & FAA. All the different operators were running their companies as stand alone either using CAA or FAA licensed engineers.
