I heard a rumour that Cathy are losing the contract and Virgin will be employing their own engineers at MAN in the near future.

If true, what cover is required? 747 and A330 ? Or will they be operating 787s there too?

Importantly, is the recruitment from intenal or external?

Yes it is true. However, Avoid Avoid vaa is a terrible company to work for they feel free to break employment law as it suits them. The guy who is to be running it isn't to popular at LGW. You have been warned.

Hi Hugh yes 330 and 747 for sure with the odd smattering of 340. No plans for 787s up there yet but never say never.

Who's Cathy? You needed 2 out of 330 346 and 787, job was advertised internally and then externally, closed yesterday though. No I didn't apply for it, I'll stick with the 777 and 350 thanks.
The consequence of VS insourcing is 4 people redundant, 2 mechs and 2 B1's. Hopefully both mechs and 1 B1 will get taken on, the other has taken an internal move to LHR.
