Surely those puddle jumpers are just as complex as the big ones?

Maybe 400 but to start your example has a fixed undercarriage so just a tad less complicated!

Leave EASA? Our boy has more chance of getting his OJT as a Connie for free than that happening.

Just so we don't get too many complaints from the Crab Fats (RAF) out there...here is one for them...

Or as they are more used to seeing them....in pieces and nothing ever ready for flight....

A quick update for anyone who finds themselves in the position I was.

In the end I took the plunge and paid for the type course thinking I had the OJT secured only to find out on the last week of the course that I had been fed a pack of lies by someone in a position you'd expect more of.

Any way frantically I applied for every B1 and A mech position relevant to the type that I could find explaining my requirement for OJT. In the end I found myself with 4 offers within a couple of days. One abroad which required a reasonable fee (unlike the company charging 10,000), 2 required a 12 month bond and one was free of charge. All paid as an A mech while working which is also unlike a certain company that basically charges 10,000 for the privilege of working for them.

All over now, got the type on my license and thankfully never need to worry about OJT again. If any connie is struggling to source OJT pm me and i'll pass on the details.
