    Default Data about airplanes

Hi, thank you for having me on the forum. I'm working on a project to collect and centralize all data about aviation with www.aviation-edge.com. I'm thinking to go into deeper details about airplanes and the parts. Right now we just have data about the seats, engines and some more general things. Is there any database where you can find detailed airplane information or manuals?

A typical maintenance manual for an Airbus or a Boeing passenger airliner can be between 4 to 6GB in size and are distributed by DVD or download. They are proprietary information and access is strictly limited to those who actually use them for the purpose of aircraft maintenance.

How deep do you want to go for your database?
God created aircraft mechanics so that pilots can have heroes too.

haha, I love your signature! I understand now that these manuals can be sensitive. There isn't really a limit to the data we want to collect but as you say it may not be possible to add such data from manuals to our database.
