Default License Renewal Fee and Courier

    Dear all,

I am making an application for my license renewal and need to ask a couple of question. I appreciate your valuable feedback.

I have to submit original license to CAA. Do I need to send only the License sheets, or Maroon Cover book as well.

I am trying to find a link as mentioned on SRG1014 for courier charges that need to be included in application, but the link on the form doesn't open. On the website I found two different set of charges:

    http://www.caa.co.uk/Our-work/About-...urier-service/

    and

    http://www.caa.co.uk/Commercial-indu...fely-returned/

Which one is to be followed, and if the charges are department specific, non of these two seem to help. I am applying from Middle East.

    Thanks for your time

Part 66.A.10(c) Requires you to submit you original licence - don't worry about returning the cover as they dont normally send out new ones on renewals or changes.

    Link as Aviator747 says

I always used to send in my licence booklet, with cover and contents. And they were returned the same way, following renewals or extensions.

Ahem. On a different note, I tried that with the DVLA years ago when my driving licence was due for renewal. The original Counterpart Driving Licence used to be in a fanciful wallet. I returned that wallet on that renewal. It was the last I saw of it. Somebody out West fancied my fanciful wallet..
