Oh dear it is all over! Delta are not going to give money to vaa. How many of you have been smart enough to take the redundancy offer ? I suggested that was your best way ahead back on the 25th Mar ?

Cool Re: Virgin Atlantic Mulls Takeover of Flybe

No money in the pot to pay refunds ? Thousands of customers, who if they even get their money back will never fly vaa again. Will vaa make it to Christmas ?

Yes, there is a requirement for a small airline around the UK. Let us just hope it has no management from any airline that operated in the UK, especially irishmen.

From UK Aviation News: Flybe’s administrators EY (Ernst & Young) announced on Monday that the Flybe Brand, intellectual property and what was left of its assets, had been sold to Thyme Opco Ltd, which is controlled by hedge fund executive Lucien Farrell.

Thyme Opco says that it plans to restart the airline, as early as next year, albeit as a smaller operation that before.

A spokesperson for Thyme Opco said: “While we plan to start off smaller than before, we expect to create valuable airline industry jobs, restore essential regional connectivity in the UK and contribute to the recovery of a vital part of the country’s economy.”

**** them. Eastern and Loganair can do that. Certainly the later. I do feel sorry for the crews and engineers, but they can wear the uniforms of the latter as they would be welcome. Anyway has the hedge fund lot got an AOC? I think the others will argue not.
