Isn't everything to do with work, about the wallet (capitalists and socialists would agree?)? Currently, working in Europe does not pay enough for "me" to move. If, doing exactly the same job for 1m per year, I would have to transfer my licence and work in say, France.

and thats the problem with any brexit discussion. its always from a personal financial perspective and NEVER from whats actually best for the nation. to be clear not saying brexit is right but the discussion itself it always shallow.
you know ww2 was financially devasting but right for the nation.

must rush off to get an irish licence.

So come on then, lets examine most major conflicts in the last 1000 years. Do you think that the millions of people killed was "right for the nation", or are we talking about the selfish gene?

Brexit is an economic argument, muddied by identity politics, in my view. Coz all things are relative, rather than absolute, we will always be striving for the least shite solution.

So, do you think we will end up with a deal, or no deal. I think it will be a deal and both major parties will limp on, with new leaders within a few years, pre the next election.

Would I rather be a Nazi speaking German? Would I rather be a Nazi speaking German or dead? Which one is worse?

I would suggest it is an economic argument started at the turn of the 20th Century that brought about your question to me.

the fact you need to pose such a question eliminates you from the discussion for insulting our war dead. You are the weakest link...goodbye

Hey mate, people have had to do it to keep their jobs. 100 odd engineers working next door to me are having to do so. We have left the club mate due to Nationalists whom would have voted for Hilter if he waved a Union Flag. Even blokes I know that voted to leave are doing so because they lose their rights to work were they want to. You really need to get out of the BA LHR hole and see the big picture. But you are so far up your ideological backside..

Interesting update to the CAA EU Exit site overnight...

-"In a no-deal scenario, after 29 March you would be able to hold both a UK and EASA Part 66 licence concurrently.

The UK CAA would open an application process for engineers who have transferred their licence to another EU member state prior to exit date to allow the restoration of their UK licence. The process for this would be outlined once the UK leaves the EU-"

That reads to me that there is going to be some form of grandfather rights if you have had to flip to another EASA NAA to maintain your EASA licence.
