Recently made the jump to contracting and now realise it may have been a mistake with IR35 looming in the UK private sector.

What’s the general outlook for licensed and unlicensed contractors? Is there anything unique to our industry that enables us to remain outside of IR35? I understand providing our own tools and having our own insurance in place goes some way to help.

Not sure of the latest provisions, but along with personal tools and uniforms, it also mattered that you invoiced the MRO for your income. As a Ltd Coy, you could use an UMBRO for that, in my days.
