Default B2 Scope of Approval

Anyone out there with a pure from scratch Jar 66 B2 license. Are you finding any ambiguity with avionic/electrical components of mechanical systems etc. Some very grey areas! Your feedback would be appreciated.

Some would argue its purposely written that way !

As far as I'm aware, with a B2 licence you are only allowed to certify within the following ATA chapters -

    22,23,24,31,33,34 & 45.

    Also see -

    http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/177/srg_el..._Cert_Tech.pdf

Your own company procedures may have further guidance.

Just had a look at my company procedures, and in addition to the above, they also allow certification within ATA chapter 77.

You missed out 12,25 & 32. All within the scope of their attached A licence.

Er, only the "grandfathers" enjoyed an attached A licence. Their sons/daughters have to swot and pass the additional modules to get the A licence..
