Default Wiring Pin Insert / Extractors

Since I acquired a shiny new B1 and outstation job I seem to have picked up a couple of minor wiring jobs, but having a few problems getting the tools. I'm after the pin inserters / extractors,( red / white, blue / white etc). The plastic ones would be adequate, but the metal ones preferable.
Anybody know where I can order them online or get them in Australia, or a manufacturer and part number.
Cheers, TS

Please pass on my deepest sympathies to your B2 colleagues back at Base.

I find that if you tug hard enough on the wires, they usually come out in the end, without the need for a fancy tool. (This was taught to me over the years by many an A+C engineer).

Try http://www.cambridge-technologies.com/ they are in Victoria. They sell both plastic and metal tools.

Thanks aids, just what I was looking for, waiting for a quote back from them.
As for the B2 guys back at base, at last I'm able to say "you ticked the wrong box!".

At the risk of teaching you to suck eggs, the plastic and metal tools are not interchangeable. Depending on the connector in question the correct tool will be one or the other. This is assuming that that the connector is rear release, if it is front release then you are looking at different tools all together.

Quote, The plastic ones would be adequate, but the metal ones preferable.

Does it not matter which one you use in which plug?

Shouldn't your company provide.

Many plugs come with in packet.
